A discussion of race, politics, media and the like… What I see is what you get.

Kirk Franklin – Hello Fear & I Am

Happy Sabbath!

As we continue this celebration of Black Music Month, you cannot ignore the contributions of the Gospel genre on Black America. If you are into gospel music…THIS is a must have album. Franklin at his best, in my opinion. Good gospel music has always spoken to the issues of the downtrodden, misunderstood and oppressed. These 2 songs are on repeat in my house…

Take 6 – A Few More & The Star Spangled Banner

Take 6 ranks as one of my favorite groups EVER!!! The Live version is striking but the studio version is straight sick. I recommend you get this album (So Cool) as it is in the top 5 Take 6 albums ever.

There is no group on EARTH that can rival these guys harmonically speaking…

I dedicate this song to the memory of my man Sam Smartt, RIP big fella… (We always loved that ending chord…)

El Debarge – Love Always & Someone

In honour of Black Music Month, I thought I’d share some of my favourites this entire month…
Some new and some old..
